I met Hannah and Jake on a pleasant November afternoon for their engagement session in Capitol Hill, DC. We started at Big Bear Café, a favorite of theirs, and a cozy neighborhood spot surrounded by changing leaves and quiet streets. Their sweaters, the fall colors, and the setting made the session feel like it was from a movie.

After coffee, they changed outfits and we headed into Capitol Hill for photos around the classic DC architecture. The mix of soft fall textures and clean lines from the buildings gave their gallery such a nice balance.

I can’t wait to photograph their wedding this May!
